“Compact trucks aren’t big enough to be useful” -my brother, who needed to use my Ranger to take down a shed and haul it away.

The price seems steep to me, but I voted NP anyway because it is so clean.

I see what you did there. Have a star.

Yeah, this has been fun. To me, it is a world of compromise, and cars are a monument to compromise. FWIW, you can do VVT on a pushrod motor, though admittedly you can’t change exhaust and intake timing relative to each other. Also, it is easier to implement variable displacement on a pushrod motor. Chevy did make some

How about trucks? Comparing a 5.7 Toyota Tundra to a 5.7 Hemi Ram, the Tundra doesn’t return an increase in power or fuel economy. That Tundra engine is also massive in the engine bay and can be hard to work on. I can completely see the logic behind DOHC inline 4 engines and V6 engines, but the pushrod has a place in

I believe that approach would help their sales numbers, but I seriously hope they don’t. When I see Cayennes, I think of them as shiny Toauregs. I would shutter to think of a Corvette SUV, just as much as I shutter thinking about Cayennes.

I own a WK Grand Cherokee. If you can find one that was taken care of by the previous owner, and depreciation has done its thing, not a bad vehicle to have. This one is too modded out, and for the price I hope it comes with a wad of $100 bills in the glove box. CP

Ford started putting the 3.5 EB in the F150 in 2011. Plenty of time in service for its longevity to be a factor in this list. The current/revised EB added port fuel injection to combat carbon buildup.

Yes! Five is the best. I drive a fair amount of different cars and six speeds are just annoying. In a properly set up five speed, reverse is over to the right and down. No secret levers to push, hard detects, or hidden shift gates. In a six speed, reverse is like an afterthought, and every manufacturer puts it in a

Honestly, I would expect the AV driver’s reaction time to be worse than a normal person’s, even if they were paying attention. Not only do they have to react to the situation, they have to react to the car not doing anything about it.

True. I have hit more than a couple deer when I lived in the country. Even if you see them, even if they are standing still, their movements are almost impossible to predict. If AV tech can’t handle unpredictable situations any better than a person, that doesn’t bode well.

To me, the Villager is a car that is so meh it is accidentally interesting. Hear me out. I saw a Mercury Villager about a month ago, a solid white, nondescript little van, except for one slight detail. It was in perfect condition. It was a 17 year old Villager, in showroom condition inside and out, top to bottom. Who

This. FWD cars are fine really, but to me, being set up longitudinally is mandatory in the class Lincoln wanted the Continental to play in.

If you look at some, maybe all of the Highlander hybrids, there is no driveshaft to the rear. The rear diff assembly has its own electric motor.

For sure they are crossovers. I think he meant Chrysler specifically and not FCA as a whole. Tbh I don’t think there is much point in trying to make another crossover to brand as a Chrysler when they have Jeep.

They get everywhere fast. They are so fast, they are in dealerships 6mo early.

I’m sorry, this car doesn’t make sense if you look at it and see it as a car. To me, it isn’t. To me, it is a sculpture. Let’s call it an Italian Driving Sculpture. Unlike a boring, ordinary sculpture, you can take this one places and enjoy it. NP.

On the plus side, if they recall them to add that screen protector, there aren’t that many of them out yet.

Sounds like fun, but if he can line up another Trackhawk, I’d be game for taking his.

That is a really clean looking SRT. I have gotten to drive a couple SRT’s but never an ACR model and found them to be a riot to drive. It doesn’t even really bother me that it is a Neon. I can’t get around that price though. At $8500, I think it would pull in an easy NP win. At nearly double that? Sorry. CP
