Davis is expressing a legitimate fear for her daughter and the realization about how privilege Davis has been and is. She is her right that her daughter does not experience that same privilege. It would be great if a lot of other white parents realized that about their own nonwhite children. Some do and some don’t.

When I think of the countless military families moved at the government’s whim multiple times, my sympathy for them runs a little low. And the fact that HE DOESN’T PAY TAXES SO THIS IS ALL ON US makes me a tiny bit ragey.

I think the Secret Service would like to disallow it but can’t. There’s a reason the First Family lives in the Whitehouse and the kids attend Sidwell Friends School; they’re secure. This is going to be a terrible burden on the Secret Service and the taxpayer.
