Also, incidentally, a plot point in Jersey Girl.

Disagree. He makes up for his admitted lack of singing chops with amazing presence and energy in his performance.

So jealous right now. I'd really like to see how their orchestra is set up and which things are triggered for samples/backing tracks etc.

Funnily enough, I felt like the performances this year suffered from sound issues (at the very least, it seemed that the performers couldn't hear themselves or the orchestra very well).

You're right, point taken.

This guy gets it.

The orchestra is always very quick with the winner's music…

And, notably, the only times it stumbles is when they roll out a movie actor who can't remember lines/read a teleprompter/can't help but mention the size of the room etc.

True, but revivals are often overshadowed by the new musicals, especially if they're as hot-ticket as Hamilton (I could be wrong though).

Spot on. That bit really felt like a 'We had to a cut a potentially sensitive bit out at the last moment' filler.

Yeah, I thought he was great!

Awesome! Thanks. I'll check it out.

Man, you've just made me wish for something I didn't even know I wanted so hard. That would be incredible. I find it strange how effusive Michael Jackson fans still are. It's bizarre.

Say what you will about Hicks (and a lot of his stuff has not held up well at all), he at least had jokes and was first and foremost a comedian. I don't think you can say that about Stanhope.

They were completely right and yet I felt irritated listening to that episode because they had disturbed the delicate fantasy of the premise of the show.

Now he can FINALLY get back to his real passion: those Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remakes.

Yeah, it went from a rollicking 'we love this kinda crappy thing a lot' podcast to oh yeah, these Bond movies can be pretty offensive. It was the only time there was genuine tension, which wasn't a good fit.

Aww, I like them both.

It's actually pronounced the way the vegetable is. The Broccoli family claims to be so old that the vegetable is named after them. No joke.
