I’m loving that, as much of an artist that he was and the amount of money he was worth, that there is nothing overly exotic or “typical rich person car” in his collection. He was worth more than a lot of artists today and a lot of them with way less money have Veryons, LaFerrari’s etc.

Ok, I’m one for having aesthetic taste, but calling something “trashy” when the direct way to your aesthetic heart, Plunkett, is tacky plastic mid-1990s Nintendo nostalgia, I’m gonna have to call you out.

It’s worth noting the Horizon games are not Turn 10, but Playground Games.

This is why I don’t have a family.

Sure, but “people like you” (which to be fair, describes people like me as well) are a tiny percentage of potential customers, and Nintendo would struggle far more if they try to run in the same (incredibly competitive) race that Microsoft and Sony are currently running.

Actually, that’s about the only argument that needs to be made. There are no ads that randomly pop up in-game, you don’t actually have to purchase anything to play the game at an enjoyable level (there really is no “pay to win” mechanic), and there do not appear to be any plans to directly monetize the game in the

How many mobile gamers will pay $40 for a game?

Not nearly as many as the 3DS. These are real games and wouldn’t work well on phones.

If you like a slow, meditative experience, pretty visuals, and well, space in general, for sure get it. It’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely a lot of peoples’ cup of tea.

He punches nerds.

Maybe, though there is one other charitable reading to that sentiment that I didn’t get into in this piece.

Because video games are so long, they are at a disadvantage compared to other forms of entertainment when it comes to generating a common cultural conversation around them. We see this at our company when

Really excited to read this when I’m not at work, but felt compelled to raise a Toys “R” Us tangent:

maybe if you buy it and some games.

“Hi! It looks like you’re trying to run an A-2 Gap Slant? Would you like help running an A-2 Gap Slant?”

I won’t believe you unless there is a picture of you at a Airport terminal with this exact setup.
