I can't remember any pop culture facepalm moments, but as a politically obsessed twenty something, it took me way longer than I'd care to admit to realise that when a they put Rep before politicians, it doesn't mean Republican, it means Representative. I don't know why I didn't realise that every politician had Rep.

I don't think there were any raging villains in WWI, it largely involved a bunch of nations committing to outdated treaties and fighting a pointless war. Germany wasn't a bad guy in WWI at all really, all it did was commit to longstanding treaties, something which many other nations did in WWI and other wars.

It doesn't help that Snyder is obsessed with the big dramatic moment as opposed to telling a coherent story. If he can squeeze in a few dramatic moments which are somewhat impressive, he thinks he's done his job. Problem is, movies aren't just dramatic moments, they require a bunch of other more mundane scenes to

*SPOILER ALERT*

Is it just me, or do movies like this that acting doesn't matter that much in movies? Not only is good acting often a result of other things like good direction, plot, script, editing etc. but often movies with mediocre plots but good acting (which this movie has) failing despite the good acting. The behavior seems

I usually find people who bash the media tiresome, especially as it's not a monolith, but some media outlets really failed to talk policy and obsessed over scandals. The problem with this tactic is Clinton had too many skeletons to play that game.

Clinton spent an awful lot of time making ads saying "look, you're going to teat apart Latinos!" and merely listing minority groups in her ads.

I read the joke as saying the Democrats lost because they spent far too much time on identity politics and not enough on developing a coherent economic platform that would resonate with people who are either poor or are worried about poverty.

I must be one of the few people left cold by this movie, it was slightly better than most action movies, but that's mainly because it wasn't filled with explosions or juvenile humour, but it was still very flawed.

To be fair it still does the "man walks out while nurturing and seemingly very good mother takes care of child" trope. Not unjustified either, but it's not completely rejected.

Okay a few thoughts:

I guess, but I remember when I was 12 and by brother announced to a large group of relatives with all the tone of a mildly disinterested anthropologist that I had no friends and when he was my age he had lots of friends, then asked me why I had no friends.

It's completely unnecessary. I'm able to watch local programming on the channel site which has ads mixed in, but apparently American networks still think in national terms.

As a foreigner, I pirated hannibal because I don't get NBC, it's not even offered in pay tv/cable packages and zoning means I can't watch it on the nbc site. It was shown on tv but they showed it at a bad hour (because of the violence) and they were way behind and I wasn't going to wait for the network to show it

I'm pro-Hillary, but it's pretty clear that he's talking about how mainstream sexuality is harmful for sexual relationships (in a lame way, but it's hardly endorsing rape or some argument that since women fantasize about rape, that it's okay).

"Australia's isolation from the world—especially relative to the racial, ethnic and cultural diversity which exists in the US and other countries—results in many Aussies and Kiwis being fairly naive about such matters."

First of all, your comment about Australians being "pleasant, charming, fun loving folks who really enjoy talking about anything and getting very drunk" sounds very touristy. I'm guessing you're not from Australia. Some Australians are pleasant, some aren't, some like a beer, some don't, some are racist, some arent't.

"Australia harbors a viciously racist, bigoted population"

Ehhh….. I'm kinda on fox news' side on this one. The amount of hype this movie is getting is kinda ridiculous.

I feel like they should just ditch this whole thing. I think I must be one of the few here who likes both Protomartyr and Journey's hits. Don't sop believing is as cheesy as hell, but is works its way into my brain in a way that almost feels illegal. Protomartyr's "come and see" is one of my favourite songs for a
