Y0U HAVE BEEN VISITED BY THE SPIRIT OF MR. JACKPOTS

God bless Ernie Anastos!

To quote Tina Belcher, this is the greatest love story ever told.

I'd probably pick Bob and Gene Dressed As Bob as my favorite dynamic. They gave birth to my all-time favorite exchange (and pilot callback):

PEAK OIL!

Its presence on the airwaves has been reeeeally touch & go this year, but Steven Universe has been fresh as ever in its in-a-way-newborn 3rd season and is right in the middle of a megamarathon that's lasting on every weekday until the end of the summer. If it resumed regular scheduling a month earlier, I trust it

That Elizabeth monologue to Paige about rebuilding the motherland… where do I sign up for the Red Army?

RUNNIN IN THE SHADOWS!

I generally don't care much for ships, but Ben and Casey on Part Down were pure fire and I hope they are still together and happy(ish) in whatever failure of a universe they live in.

Fry and that radiator lady from the radiator planet.

At long last! A friendship bonded by the Struggle Against The Man has been brought to an end by KUNG FU TREACHERY!

But… Black Dynamite!

*audible sweating*

That was about as cathartic of an arc climax as one could ask for. No one deserved to fling that "CLOD!" more than Peridot, right there, and I couldn't help but audibly cheer a little. Plus, LuPone as YD is an absolute coup. I was secretly hoping for Grace Jones, but you can't fuck with LuPone. I look forward to her

Among all the fantastic things in this episode, I loved that attention was paid to the fact that this was also Amethyst's first time leaving Earth, not just Steven's. She was so disappointed that she couldn't also be a floating moon boy :(

Second. I've never seen a more convincing physical breakdown on television.

I wish it cracked the top 10 on the overall Top 40 list, and Oscar Isaac (and Alfred Molina, Natalie Paul, and Catherine Keener) certainly deserved to be mentioned here. Hopefully with the smaller field of best miniseries it'll pick up a whole buncha emmy noms.

She blew up earlier in the year, but then the hype itself blew up. Makes no sense that she wouldn't even get a mention.

1. Bojack - Escape from LA
2. Steven Universe - (Tie with itself) Sworn to the Sword / Alone Together
3. Show Me A Hero - Hour 6
