Maybe Mary Berry will bring Matt Berry in as her co-judge, doing his best "glowering bread man" impression. A man can dream, can't he?

Sad to hear
Not sure if joking, or too lazy to read the link explaining how he used lactation rooms as a personal meditation space..
This Tim and Eric "goodbye" jingle pops in my head when I hear certain people have passed. Thanks for that, Tim and Eric:

I also just started up The Goldfinch! I got about 150 pages in before some awesome life stuff happened, but Im liking her writing style a lot. It was a toss-up between The Goldfinch and The Nix by Nathan Hill; a friend stepped in with high praise for The 'Finch though, so Nix is up next.
Ever read some Gene Wolfe? Book of the New Sun?
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle is my favorite. Definitely recommended if you feel like more Murakami after 1Q84.
Didn't get to scan all the 1300+ comments but I hope Airborne has gotten some love!
Aw shit, new George Saunders always makes for an exciting day! Had no idea what he'd been up to since Tenth of December, aaand I've been in need of a new book. Though I still have The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson waiting for me on my bookshelf.. its just so looong though! But yay, George Saunders!
Yeah, musics in a really weird place right now. I really rely on word of mouth and websites like AVClub for good album reviews of artists I might not know but are recommended by said sources to explore. Spotify and other streaming services are really great for exploration, but I am usually using Spotify for nostalgic…

Aww snap new Mouse on the Keys?! These dudes are serious and great at what they do. And hooray for math rock!

Maybe the swordmaker used Zatoichi as a homage to the character.. blind man who is also a badass/ walking stick that's actually a sword.. but yeah, looks like theres an entry in his series called "Zatoichi's Cane Sword"
When I was a highschooler with a job and no real financial responsibilities, I was really into making sushi and decided to go to a place called Chesapeake Knife and Tool to buy some authentic sushi knives. When I got there I saw that they were about $180 each, and I was discouraged from getting them, but I saw they…
And their goddamned gra prao bahn mi! And their bomb ass basil fried rice..
Oh no! Not Pho and Spice.. they just needed a bigger space.. great for takeout or delivery but such terrible and limited seating
Oh man, youre a past neighbor then. I lived in Waltham parallel to Moody for a bit right after the bombing, and now I live 20 min south. It does seem way too soon, but I was happy to see that some of the survivors get a bit of recognition from the film, as well as having my tear ducts take a hit back during the…
Yeaaah. I remember when Marathon Sports, who were nearby and deeply affected by the bombing, came out with a Boston Strong shirt and proceeds went to a good cause.. then it got saturated with no real beneficiary in sight. I did get myself a Marathon Sports shirt though.
All my friends lived in Waltham when the lockdown happened, and I was at work til 9pm. Tsarnayev was found in a boat in Watertown (the town next to Waltham) and all the sudden I got a bunch of texts that basically said "Hey kehd, they caught the bastahd but all the bars and liquor stores are closed!" so I picked up a…
