For some reason I always think about Blueshammer whenever people tell me I should watch The Big Bang Theory.

Yeah, i mean the idea that there's a single generational trait that applies to everyone in a given decade+ (nobody can agree on where the "millennial generation" begins or ends) is pretty much absurd.
Well, Jimmy's 39 so…
In order for it to be an "Emperor's New Clothes kinda deal," wouldn't people have to be talking about how breathtakingly great it is? I haven't exactly heard anyone yelling from the rooftops about how amazing the show is.
Meanwhile Late Night with Seth Meyers will be upholding the proud Late NIght tradition of having random current SNL cast members on with nothing to promote whenever they can't book a real guest.
I agree that his monologue's weakness has been over emphasized. None of the late show monologues are really any good.
Well, he already did 941 episodes of Late Night…
Yeah, The Tonight Show is never going to be a super hip thing that has a huge appeal for alternative comedy geeks. It is, by it's nature, a series of shills for the guests' other projects, propped up by some current-events jokes at the top and maybe a sketch or two. It is your dad's evening talk-show.
Very true. As usual, NBC has done a great job promoting the hell out of these horrible looking new shows during the Olympics while leaving Parks and Community to wither on the vine.
Well, I mostly meant in the sense that the larger point Sonia was making remains the same, the game was highly dramatic either way.
But how many non-superfans stuck around through those awful episodes, let alone for the show afterward?
She also apparently played a pivotal role in getting the 2018 Winter Games for South Korea (which I'm sure you already knew), so I'd guess that has something to do with it.
I think Go On was mostly a victim of being launched with the lead-in of The Office in it's painfully bad post-Michael Scott period before they brought back Greg Daniels for the final season.
Not only that, they've clearly attempted to disguise Elfman in an attempt to trick us into mistaking her for Christina Applegate.
One thing I've noticed is that the difficulty needed to win has been ramped up so high at this point that everyone's programs are effectively the same. They're all doing the same jumps, same spins, same footwork maneuvers, many times in mostly the same order — because that's basically the only way to fit everything in…
"The U.S. and Canadian women’s teams are each other’s only real competition, so their rivalry is fierce. And Canada came back from 2-0 to tie the game in the last five minutes of play and then beat the U.S. in a shootout. That is a goddamn game."
I'm sure the stones are heavy, but they're sliding on smooth ice. I don't doubt it's difficult, but chess and darts are hard too, and they're not Olympic events.
Yeah, it also seemed like it was timed oddly, where the ice dancers got several days between their team performances and their event competition, but the solo and pairs skaters (whose events seem more physically demanding) had to perform multiple days in a row. Plushenko would have possibly been able to compete in the…
Yeah, that only sounds impressive if you ignore the fact that most athletes in the Olympics have been competing full-time for a decade or more
True, they actually need way more endurance than bobsledders.
