Yeah it's a stop-gap solution. However, as a web developer, I can tell you that metrics show people vastly prefer searching over using multiple clicks to navigate sites, so I understand the change (though if you're going to rely on search for navigation, you need a really good search engine, and I'm not sure I'd vouch

Until the human eye stops being drawn to pictures rather than plain text (especially pictures of human faces), I don't really see that happening, and I don't think we're ever going back to the old "everyone uses the web at this one display size/resolution" model.

Click the big search button -> Type "one minute" (without the quotes) -> It's the fourth result

The content, which is the main reason to come to the site, is much more readable now. I will no longer have to use Readability every time I want to read an A.V. Club article that is longer than a couple paragraphs.

Yessir.

It makes me unreasonably happy that they've kept that running gag going for so long

Those are actually Moneyball-style baseball statistics, proving conclusively that showrunner/cousin Mose actor Michael Schur is a huge dork.

Maybe it's just because I'm from here, but the whole recall plotline feels like a nod to Wisconsin's recent gubernatorial recall, since a lot of the other things the council is attempting to do are pretty much verbatim what our shitty all-republican government is doing currently (redrawing districts, attempting to

They've been playing their cards pretty close to the chest for how the recall supposedly works in Pawnee, but I have the feeling that all that has happened so far is that a recall election has been forced, and she has not actually been recalled yet. I think there's still a chance that she will win the election over

I loved how Andy and April were playing the "skate into the wall as fast as you can" game, I recall spending a lot of time doing that whenever I found myself at a skating rink as a kid.

It would be great to see Ben fully revert to his snowboarding-enthusiast early 90s self at some point, kind of like Ron in Ron & Tammy Part 2.

I thought the "Tom selling his name" thing took a weird leap in that Ron was clearly talking about his personal name "it's what will be on your tombstone" and Tom takes it to mean the dumb name of his business? It's not exactly a huge dilemma; what was he going to do with the name "Rent-a-Swag" after selling the store

I actually don't know that I really have a "favorite" network show right now, two years ago I would have said Community, and hopefully I will again. Parks & Rec, while still good, is not as good as it once was, but wins by default since NBC cancelled everything else. Bob's Burgers is probably a close second. Brooklyn

Start lobbying for that $0.004 per hour raise!

It's kind of funny that they're such polar opposites here since they're really pretty similar in tone and style; I expect almost anyone who likes one would also like the other.

Mine is almost exact (not including my wife's income), surprising since I only watch 3 shows on the list so I wouldn't expect that to be a significant sample size.

Whoops, you're right. That's what I get for having too many articles open at once.

Yeah, I really liked that too, and I'm from (and currently reside in) the Midwest, so I don't think it's too venomous or whatever. It seems like Dowd is doing the classic "I'm offended on behalf of someone I imagine being offended at this."

I think a big part of it is the real sense of camaraderie that seems to exist between the main cast, which (much like on Parks and Rec) makes everything seem much more sunny and fun, even when the show goes to some pretty dark places.

You love her, but you don't want to watch a really good show that she's on?
