Imagining a guy named WEEABOO JONES receiving this from his father is amazing.

Oh good, it's been edited with quotation marks. Now the gap is considerably smaller.

The gap between the headline and reality is substantial.

I'll concede the point about live action roles, but what about voice acting? Why even bother getting an Asian at all, particularly for characters like Hiro who speak English as a first language? I've seen voice directors talk about how they'll aim to get an Asian to play [any] Asian for the sake of "authenticity,"

I always find it hilarious when any ol' east-asian will do for whatever east-asian role. Japanese kid? Yeah Korean's close enough. Japanese geisha? How about that Chinese lady.

I have a brother who only plays driving sims. He used to play more things...

For me the only amiibos worth purchasing are the ones that look decent— which is why I insisted on going into stores to inspect them all in person (and only the ones that could stand without weird translucent blocks). I consider them figurines first and foremost; any in-game functionality is a bonus— at least until

I think it's the same ol' pad with a doctored image to make the screen stand out in the shot. Screens in ads are always simulated to begin with, so I don't think it'd be too much of a stretch for Nintendo to punch up the size for emphasis and a subtle bit of visibility, especially in a blurry shot that lasts for less

It was fine. Guile's hair caught fire, we had a good laugh.

I didn't play FFVII and I don't have any personal love for it, BUT WHOLLY JESUS CHRIST WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO FANS

I was hype for Shovel Knight and the epic music accompanying the devs walking up to the stage.

I just wish the "Electrodrome" music had been bumpin' as Reggie got up there for Mario Kart 8.

interesting that the ball decelerates on its own without even reaching the top of the screen.

You're right that you can play as you download, which is a big deal. I was actually thinking about the actual moment that the update is installed, usually before running the game again. All that said though, Wii U isn't bad at all.

Y'know, I've never interrupted an update to force-start a game because I've always been willing to wait for it to be all caught up, but that's an important distinction if PS4/XB1 can't do the same.

Indeed, but under the rare circumstances where they do need to update, they sure can take quite a damn long time; in relative proportion, anyway— the patches usually aren't all that large.

This was one of those instances where the most obvious pun was also clearly the best pun.

The fact that she called Mega Man Astro Boy is wonderful. Way to go back to the source!

C'mon Sony, don't try to ease in with that old arcadey font and the space invaders you had no hand in. Admit you came in late, and that you became important.

Damn! I go and the site's undergoing maintenance! Pleeeeease don't run out...

The description of the mode given here is written as though there weren't Event Matches in Melee or Brawl, when they totally were. I'm pretty sure Patricia wrote on some other post that she's played a lot of Smash. Did she just— never play any single-player content before?
