Considering I had never heard of this girl until yesterday, it’s unbelievable to hear Olivia Jade has this many deals with brands.

I’ve never understood how sovereignty over one’s own body gets kneecapped whenever sex work comes up. Make it safe and legal. Use the tax revenue to ferret out traffickers.

Yeah, it’s kind of good that sex work stories only pop up so often. It gives you time to recover before the community let’s you down again.

I’m glad that this article discusses the strong overlap between SWERFs and TERFs. That aspect of the whole debate often gets overlooked, which does a disservice to sex workers and trans folks, and ignores that there is a notable overlap between those two categories as well.

I have read that but I always wonder exactly HOW they arrive at the trafficked numbers and we’ve seen people explain just how screwed up those numbers can be when cops are involved and people are scared of getting in trouble.

My guess is that the folks voting for scram are probably imagining the kind of scramble you get when you keep the heat low and stir and stir and stir... fluffy heaven. Which isn’t usually what you’ll get if you order scrambled eggs. Two different things, with the same name. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This was definitely one of those shows where “critics loved it” but I never heard of it outside those circles. I’m sure the first season did okay, regardless.

Buffy is the real deal. 

Hi, Caitlin — I wanted to draw attention to an excellent documentary about Native people’s fundamental contributions to rock ‘n’ roll, Rumble. Buffy is featured prominently, among many other amazing Native musicians.

So much respect for Buffy. I also highly recommend this documentary, which Buffy features in, to anyone interested in learning more about indigenous contributions to popular music, and the ways that these contributions were often left out of the narrative:
