Personally I think the reality is far worse. If you are in a coma, as far as I know, you aren’t really aware. Given her disabilities, she is awake, aware and has the mental capacity of a toddler. 

I know this is probably a stupid idea because of the various sizes of strollers and wheelchairs but these would be a nice solution.

I don’t disagree with your point about celebrity worship but Stan Lee was so much more than that to a lot of people. I know a few who truly feel that his comics saved their lives as kids/teens.
