No, it only contributes to her overbearing persona in that you perceive her differently because she’s fat. It’s no different than if she had blond hair versus dark - it wouldn’t make her any more or less obnoxious. It’s because you see her weight as another negative trait that you lump it in with her other negative

You know how every now and then you make a comment on Twitter and your realize that a show has incredibly obsessive fans that are quick with the death threats? This show has them!

Sia who? Look at that kid!

Sia understands something about the reality of being a performance artist— the average shelf life of a dancer is short. Giving this child as much exposure and possibility for making money and working in serious projects with an established artist is worth its weight in gold. Sia has also navigated addiction and

I find what the two are doing (Sia and maddie) to be a really interesting experiment with expressing yourself through art while coping with mental illness. I'm not sure how familiar you are with Sias phobias and self esteem issues but it's so bad that this talented woman can't ever face the crowd while performing, and

Maybe you can try a little harder to describe a person rather than the old standby "fat"

This live performance was one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen, and I would watch a movie that these people are in or involved with.

She has real charm and charisma and star quality though. And she comes across as such a sweet kid on the show that you don’t begrudge her confidence or success one bit. She’s the rare reality break-out star that should be a star based on talent.

I would agree if Maddie was a “normal” child. However, she is a seasoned performer, and Sia clearly has a creative comfort level here (in terms of going with the familiar for her film debut). I don’t think this is creepy at all, it’s a ongoing collaboration.

You want creepy? Look at John Hughes’ obsession with Molly

She’s the star of Dance Moms, her videos on YouTube have over a billion views, she’s guest stared on shows including Drop Dead Diva, a few Disney shows, and perhaps the biggest teen show in the last decade Pretty Little Liars, she’s been on talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel, The Ellen Show, Good Morning America, etc., she

I read dance magazines (Pointe, Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit), and Maddie and other tween dancers are covered in Dance Spirit and are successful on the competition circuit and get into music videos and commercials and dance backup for pop and hip-hop stars. It’s inspirational for other kids who want to be professional

I don’t know, there’s a lot of directors who continually cast the same actors for movies. Just look at Wes Anderson.

She has a huge following among the tween set though, and it goes far beyond Dance Moms
