I think this is for kids around 5 to 8. Kids who facetime with their grandparents and watch videos on a tablet. This a big deal. Kids that age can’t navigate Snapchat and the World Wild Web. I think it’s great for them. They will evolve out of it as they get older.

I’ve been using Linux for years and I like all the distros. I’m currently back to Ubuntu and love it. One recommendation that I think improves the style a lot is to reduce the dock icon size to 26. Open Settings, Dock, Icon size. I prefer it on the right and right now prefer Auto-Hide.

I raised my kids as Homeschoolers and we played lots of games. Card games were the best. We started with Go Fish and advanced to Crazy Eights and then Rummy and Cribbage. If you want them to learn to count and add I recommend Blackjack.

I like to sharpen my knives on a very inexpensive diamond stone and I’m really good at it. I sharpen my friend’s knives when I visit. It makes a big difference.

I find the Fidget Cube is very effective in allowing me to concentrate on some activities that don’t engage all my facitilites. Reading a book, watching a documentary, phone calls. It’s just a leaks off a little of my distracting mental energy and allows me to focus on something more important.

That is pretty cool.
