From what I understand this is affecting servers who network using Microsoft server software. It has nothing to do with PCs. Most of the servers run on Linux but some run on Microsoft.

I use HANGOUTS. On my cell phone - it handles both my cell phone number and my Google Phone number (which is my principal number). On my computer and tablet I can still send and receive texts from my Google phone number.
