Oh, man, I would have definitely dug a “Uhura does One Last Mission” Short Trek.
Oh, man, I would have definitely dug a “Uhura does One Last Mission” Short Trek.
There was something very off about the pacing, which would have made sense in a “writing-as-we-go”, old-school 26-episode season, but not in the modern “tight ten-episode planned season” model. The first two-thirds of the season luxuriates with its time, moving through the story like it’s in no hurry to get anywhere,…
It is, but it doesn’t remind me of the aspects of TNG I liked. The solution to that particular problem was not to set him up with a medical countdown to begin with, so they weren’t forced between a copout and killing him off in the last episode.
I think it’s that last episode. It pulled so many cheap manipulative emotional tricks, none of which felt earned, and it was the last of it that we saw. What happened with Picard himself was especially just ridiculous, and felt like a parody of how you try to have your cake and eat it too.
I hear you. I hope it breaks the back of the GOP, personally. I work for a foreign company (NZ/AUS) and I’ve been trying to make plans to relocate - be an expat somewhere. We made some acquisitions that offer more locations for that in the UK and Scandinavia. Until travel restrictions and budgets allow for me to…
At one point I tried to start writing some things down, figuring I would leave it for my grandkids, if I ever have any. But it just kind of petered out, and I haven’t written anything for months. It got to be too much. How many times can I write, “I just can’t f*ing believe this”?
“There’s no life hack that gets around the knowledge your government was happy to let a vast swath of its population die, no radical acceptance of such a monumental chain of loss.”
I thought this said “mental health” not “maternal health.”
yeah and i put them back in the greys!
I’ve updated the article to include a link to the explainer on these lower grades of beef, but I’m sorry my original article didn’t meet your standards, and that--as I made pretty clear--I chose to focus on the grades one is most likely to encounter at the grocery store and butcher counter. I am always more than happy…
Ben Shapiro...come on down!
It’s in the starter pack of cliches they install on your mental hard drive when you first become a card-carrying asshole:
At this point, if you told me Greenberg and Gaetz were running a dogfighting ring franchise company with convenient locations throughout Florida, it won’t come as a shock.
One thing about the racism... It always amazes me when a Jew goes full white supremacist.
he also openly carries a gun with along his badge ..., which I didn’t understand at the time why a tax collector would need to be armed (though this is in Florida), but learning that he’s cosplaying as a cop completes the picture for me.
Yeah, that seems to fall pretty firmly under impersonating a police officer, but Florda ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
“I don’t have a racist or bigoted bone in my body” Gaetz says, would you like one??
I guess it’s just a drop in the bucket at this point, but I can’t imagine that is legal.
Do tax collectors have cars with lights or something? How did he even pull her over? And why do they have badges at all? This is all just bizarre.
What is with these people and their belief that racism resides in one’s bones? It was never your bones we were worried about, Joel, it’s your stupid racist brain where all the racism is.
