In your example you’ve got a US market car you want to re-import. I, and many others, talk about cars designed for other first world markets with stringent safety and emissions demands. Those are still blocked from being imported into the US (for normal usage) until 25 years of age.

All we need to do get the A110 here in the US is cause a 738% spike in Alfa Romeo 4C sales, since they’re very similar in dimensions/power/etc. That will prove to Renault there’s a viable business case for such a car!
