They’ve already opened up the drivetrain for competition with just one restriction: a cost cap on what they sell their parts to other teams for. Some cars have two motors, others have one. Gearboxes vary from 1 speed to 5.

I don’t know, but electrics certainly have the possibility of engineering pushing the speed envelope ahead, unlike fossil fuel race cars that need regulations to keep them slow enough to not kill people.
Depending on where you live, you can’t keep any sport of shit in your driveway.
“Yeah, but most do uphold the law and get blamed for the slugs that don’t, along with a moronic public and press that rarely sheds light on the good cops that have to settle domestic fights, thieving ladies and drug addicted kids.”
When the article at issue is cops not having “respect for the law” I’m right there with you - that’s pretty pathetic. When people are outraged at unchecked police power or a narrative where the police are presumed to be always right, I give a bit of pause to make sure I’m not just blindly giving “respect” where it’s…
Good cops? If there are any, they are silent. I learned a long time ago that there are baseline bad cops, who abuse their power, and then there are cops who are extra violent.
Me too, because you seem to think they’re something else.
I know! Can you imagine the public, who’s trust you are expected to have unconditionally and automatically, expecting you to follow the very laws you are sworn to uphold? What a crock. 🙄
username suggests undercover cop.... beware ;p
This is shockingly good advice. Are you sure you work here?
I dunno last time I gave that over the internet a really nice Nigerian prince ran off with my money.
But that won’t help sell these cars to clueless millionaires.
Do you think you could even design an engine with a power curve like that if you tried? 400hp “valleys”, could you imagine driving such a thing?
Auto insurance guy here. Turo should not and would not be involved in the valuation process outside of possibly verifying the value. The adjuster will assess the car “conservatively” and will view the terms of the policy to see if coverage is in place.
This strikes a perfect balance of athletic and elegant. So I assume for the US market they will give it a lift kit, glue on a bunch of plasticky crap trim, take some pictures of it by a lake and call it the Insignia FourAllTourCrossX.
That is a very attractive car. How badly will GM fuck up it’s looks to stick a Buick grille on it?
But the Nissan Pulsar’s Sportbak didn’t look stupid and wasn’t pointless.
