Exactly. As one of the first people on the old Jez boards to say out loud “both governments involved are bad, the only innocent people here are the civilians on both sides who are just trying to put food on the table” I got a fair amount of pushback in the rush to condemn one side OR the other.

Agreed. Short of a parent coming to school and waving a gun in some teacher’s face because they gave their kid a low grade ... I can’t think of anything that would rate a child’s expulsion based on something their parent “said” (let alone did).

Echo’d here. There were the glory days, and there were the recent days, and they weren’t the same time period sadly. Understandable when your corporate overlords really want you to just die already.

When your defence of someone is “everyone else does it too!” or “It’s always been that way!” you might need to rethink your choice to defend him.

But of course it’s not the guns that are the problem...
