Have you tried adding in autohotkey into your workflow? It's definitely an option if you don't need really super duper various fx and plugins.

Well... not better generally, but less colored would be the correct term. DJ cans are colored heavily towards the bass (mid bass IIRC) to help DJs match beats. Monitors that are worth its money tend to be flatter in sound, which generally is less pleasing than colored/flavored headphones.
I take one exception to your post saying that C++ is just C with neat stuff added on to it. C++ has "Trappings of C" but is messy, from trying to add other stuff on to it to make it "modern" and object oriented.
