This isn’t Uber causing the issue, this is the rider fucking with the system by making changes and then claiming ignorance to get a free ride. I’ve heard all of the tactics and switches possible by the drivers who have always given me a straight ride.
Yeah instead of surge pricing you just can’t get a cab at all when demand is too high. Way better.
Yeah. I finally (!) stepped back from Destiny 1, hundreds of hours in, after I came to the understanding that D1 just didn’t respect my time investment. It was a grind without a payoff, since the goalposts kept changing: you’d spend hours chasing the Maguffin, just to have the meta shift in a rebalance patch. Destiny…
Having the sick impulse to call the cops, from the site of one of the worst flood disasters in American history, to report victims of that flood for looting a supermarket; but also: a crime
He’s such a racist when he openned his first golf course in Florida he let everyone who wanted to join, unlike other clubs down there.. I guess actions don’t matter.
Build quality was garbage, which was probably about right for domestics of the time. The headliners fall in on you, the seats break the dash board bounces around like it’s held on by two staples and a strip of tape. They rusted as if their paint was saltwater-based. The chassis are about as stiff as an 80-year-old…
I agree that Christianity has no place for racism or exclusionary beliefs, and that Christianity is often vilified as a whole, while people should be encouraged to actually be christian in action and not just name.
That being said, the argument being made in the Stephen Colbert image is one of my pet peeves. Christ…
He says to do 4, 5, and 6 at the same time. It’s been a while since I listened to his show, but if I recall correctly, his general position on retirement savings was that maxing out your retirement accounts was nice, but not nearly enough for most people.
That’s a new thing that Uber is rolling out. If you give them a 4 or lower, you’ll get a menu to choose from to explain why. This will help weed out the 1-star ratings from people who are pissed off that they got a surge price, which is out of the driver’s control.
But if they “earn” that 3-star rating, then give it to them. Bad service, inefficient route, rude driver, sexually harassing, etc. - that shouldn’t be rewarded with a no-star.
Except that Uber - until very recently - actively discouraged tipping, saying they wanted the whole user experience to be cash-free, from when they pushed a button to order the car until they left the car. They successfully brainwashed people into thinking that they didn’t have to tip their driver (they should, if…
Uber is rolling out a new feature in which the rider pays a $15 fee to have the driver return a left item.
Uber/Lyft driver here.
Yeah, passengers are absolutely charged a detailing fee for upchunking in an Uber. It’s $100-$200, depending on how bad it is.
“The Uber app makes it clear, when you pick 3 or 4 stars, that they understand you think something went wrong. They ask “what can be improved” or “what went wrong?” “
You know as well as anyone else that 5-stars is meets expectations.
Sounds like they are getting pissed about a situation they actually have control over. I put plastic bags in the back seats, had 4 people throw up in my car, every single one of them managed to grab the bag in time. No clean up for me, no damage fee for them. It is a win/win and they get to go home with a souvenir.
If you puke in an uber or lyft, you are getting a $150 cleaning charge as well. All they have to do is send a couple of pictures in of the mess and you get the bill and we get the $150 to get that cleaned out.
