Maybe they realized it was a tremendous waste since pretty much everyone uses either free converters online, or DIY methods like GarageBand?

That can't be right. I just used Facebook connect to find a friend of mine on there. Unless they yanked it within the last 12 hours or so....

@Luke Hooft: We can only hope. Though, they probably will keep it 4:3, while the iPhone is 3:2.

For me, it's all about having options. My music library used to only be about 8-10GB a year or two ago, so I could manage when I had an 8GB iPhone. It has ballooned to about 45GB recently due to me expanding my music tastes and listening habits, and it's to the point where a 32GB iPhone isn't enough. So, I decided to

@Benedinho: 1st Gen. iPod touch didn't have physical volume buttons.

@FriedPeeps: Actually, it was developed mostly by Sony, and Nintendo was going to use it with the N64, but then bailed, so Sony took it and released it themselves.

@Monty: Actually, you have a valid point there. My mom, for instance, who loves Apple products, has said to me that she loves the entire concept of the iPad, but she wants a something she can carry around in her purse, and that the current iPad is just slightly too big for that. That's what's kept her from buying one,

@t1t4n1um: Exactly. I was being slightly sarcastic. Lol.

Does it have an autofocus motor in the body? If not, I'm not interested. I'm so sick of having half of my lenses manual-only on my D60 because of the lack of an AF motor.

I was wondering when you guys would write an article on this, given all the gulf coverage.

@Goldwings: I love you so much right now.

@Hooray4Zoidberg: I believe they only did that with the original iPhone, bumping it from 4GB/8GB to 8GB/16GB while dropping the price. Neither the 3G nor 3GS had any mid-cycle upgrades.

@magus-21: Let me take care of that for you. ;)

@spannu: Yeah, I'm nearsighted too. As a camera geek, I think of it like separating a lens and a camera with an extension tube. Suddenly, you can focus much better up close, but you can't focus too well on stuff far away :)

@vein11: It's about the same as the 3GS in general, but the noise canceling gives it a leg up.
