This article hits the nail on the head when it talks about which room to use. I learned the hard way that my office has too much street noise, and my house, which is in a quiet suburb, is still subject to birds and the occasional barking dog, lawn mower and Cybermen invasion. So I set up in a friend's furnished

Hey, thanks for telling me about the site. They just got a new subscriber.

I did that. The result was that I preferred Smirnoff to Grey Goose and all the others. That's good news since the price is reasonable (a little higher for the blue label because of the higher alcohol content).

Good idea, but how many times can I use the same Brita filter? (Rhetorical; I don't expect you to have the answer.) The filters cost about $7 at the supermarket and last about a month of normal use for water. But there's no sense in buying a $10 bottle and using up one filter, when you can buy a decent bottle of vodka

The second paragraph looks to me like it's contradicting itself. I think the last sentence should begin, "By increasing this capacity..." not "By lowering..." Otherwise, it doesn't make sense. (Keep in mind that I'm reading this article sober.)

It's the literary equivalent of a dirty Sanchez.

I have the regular Bamboo stylus. It's pretty nice, but it was way overpriced. What really disappoints me is the complete failure of Cregle's iPen, which was supposed to be accurate and eliminate stray marks. I wouldn't be surprised if they get hit with a class-action suit.

PMSL!

This was in St. Maarten; I don't imagine any commercial airports in the U.S. allow people to get anywhere near a jet like they do in this video — for security as well as safety reasons. So next time you hear people (or politicians) complain about "government regulations", remember this video. Many of those regulations

Will Ayatollah Pat Robertson come on the air and say the residents of Texas brought this on themselves because the state is full of right wingers and they elected a doofus as governor?

I ate red meat like frakking crazy until I finished college, and then I became vegetarian. That was almost 30 years ago. Now I'm happier after meals since I don't feel like I have a cinder block in my gut. I'm not trying to proselytize anyone; that's just what works for me.

Apparently, we've never met!

Has anyone here upgraded from the iPad 2 to the new one? I've been thinking about it and was wondering if the heating issue or the battery charging "feature" should keep me away.

About three or four years ago, my uncle came down with cancer of the kidneys. One the doctors removed, and the other was inoperable and too marbled with cancer cells for radiation to be an option. Since then he has been on chemo — two weeks taking meds, then two weeks off. The result is that the chemo has kept the

We sometimes try to EXTERMINATE confusing information!

Is there no possibility the thing is from China, Japan, India or Israel? They've all launched spacecraft of one type or another.

This method isn't so much like a cloaked Jem'Hadar ship as it's like a vampire. Your prey has to invite you in, the first time. I don't think there is any way to see a person's activity if they don't make it available to you (other than obtaining their password).

Hee hee. Maybe I can use it to temporarily replace what the mohel snipped off many years ago!

NOW they tell me? Where the hell were these people 20 years ago??

Not all vitamins work the same way. Vitamins measured in i.u. (international units) are fat soluble and doses you take in excess of what you need get stored in your liver. If that store doesn't get used because you keep taking more vitamins, there will be a toxicity level. Such vitamins include A, E, and K.
