But getting to the point of DoA, its still a game where you play beach volleyball, and by people's consensus the mechanics were good and the game was enjoyable. Wouldn't it undermine your reasoning if you think its a bad game when the game delivers what it is, and doesn't oversell what its trying to be?

he does specifically say that boobs are part of the reason why he enjoyed the game. But whats wrong with that? It's entirely a subjective matter and what gameplay it had it still did well and worked well, so I see nothing wrong with it objectively.

I understand that you might have been disappointed by the lack of social commentary by the anime, but ultimately I think the direction was to present a romance story between the 5 (later 7) main characters. I think now that they are separate characters in the game, the heels arent actually a part of the varia suit and more of a separate extension. (Like how it gives Samus the ability to use thrusters without the Varia suit)
