Woman genetically have better endurance than men, so as the length of the race increases the difference between the two genders decreases. It is not uncommon to see women win events like this and ultra-ultra marathons.

Washington, DC: $83,104 is low. Sure, you can live comfortable on that on average across the entire city, but half of it still has high crime and bad public schools. $83,104 with a roommate maybe, but if you have a kid or are single I’d say $125,000. Likely a similar situation exists in all of the large cities.

Compromise: no giant umbrellas for those under 6'2". 6'2"+ people get whacked in the face with umbrellas all the time and need the extra width for protection from both the elements and jagged metal ends of shorter people’s umbrellas.
