I mean if the housing prices in your area just spiked 10-25% and suddenly the down payment you saved up is pointless cuz everyone is paying cash+. I might just say F it and buy the Supra because I know I can afford it and it makes me happy unlike the depression of wishing for a home.

I hate these types of articles, they never show all the information and are deceptively pessimistic.

Polestar and Volvo are the only luxury brands right now that have any real style, and I am unanimous in this.

Chris Bangle is a good designer, different, and that tackled a lot of engineering trends/requirements (higher beltlines etc) and was the first to do so.

Lots of things were said that China couldn’t do, they did it. It is impossible to prevent common knowledge like jet engines from being developed by any determined actor. Name one technology that has been only held by one country forever

>>>Bombardier built the CSeries to compete with the smaller 737 and A320 models before being bought out by Airbus and renamed the A220

...Tell us you never left the country while telling is you never left the country or state.

“Irish low-cost carrier helped develop the C919 but has placed an order for the aircraft.”

I can see the C919 being a major player in China, of course, and possibly Russia and some central Asian markets and eventually in Africa since China is investing so much into the infrastructure of that continent.

What idiot in charge at BMW looked at the 2 series and said:”Yeah, that’s what our premium sedan needs to look like?”

You know it’s bad when a BMW model uses a relatively normal looking kidney grille and the car still doesn’t look like a BMW. Looks like a straight edged version of a Mercedes now.

The E60 was a secret peak. It might have been controversial, but it has aged so well and shows the design intent of Bangle’s team and vision: subtly muscular, but also feminine and delicate.

Honestly, I think the new Accord is a better looking BMW than the BMW.

Absolutely awful.  What in the hell is going on over there in Bavaria?!?!

It looks... like if FWD cheap sedan with BMW bits bolted on, like it’s platform sharing with something cheaper and they have glitzed it up. I am not a fan of modern BMW design but they normally have a BMW stance. At least the 2 series is FWD, so they where working around that. Indeed I am either bored or appalled with

I’m on my third BMW (two 3's, one 5) and this pretty much confirms my next car will be something else.  They were once the flagship of elegant simplicity coupled with fun driving characteristics.  I just don’t get who is driving the boat in the design department these days.

The proportions look really bad. The base of the windshield and rear window seem really high for a luxury sedan. The roof seems really narrow. The amount of metal above the top of the wheels is.... incredible. It’s not hideous, but it almost seems like someone tried to build a BMW on top of some FWD CUV platform, the

It’s all wrong. Holy shit, how did they get it SO wrong? This is a BMW with bad proportions. Whatever else they have gotten wrong with their design language in the past, you could still count on them for great proportions. Those days are gone now.

The lead image looks like a bad car website’s rendering of what they

As the owner of three previous BMW, K1300, E39 Wagon and the 850. This new 5 series does nothing for me that says I have to buy it.

Who are those people you speak of that will be celebrating?
