It’s taxes to, It’s always depressing seeing that I actually make really good money Gross, but then seeing my paycheck after taxes is like geez, and then watching .gov spend it on stupid stuff that doesn’t actually pan put is even more depressing.

Sorry mate but you are misinformed, the competitor of the VW Golf is not the 208 but the 308. The competitor of the 208 is the VW Polo. Now interestingly, let’s add the sales of the ID 3 to the VW Golf to see the numbers, I bet many customers that were buying the Golf are now buying the ID 3 (same size and category).

A very tentative NP. The seller looks to be doing a good job of not trying to get people to pay for all their work and just wants some money for the car (esp by current car costs). Would definitely need a PPI by a good German shop to know how well all the work was done though.

Comment section is sparse and the only one so far is making fun of Elon. This is bad. Someone needs to write post about autopilot killing baby seals, should get the usual Jalopnik commentariat out of the woodwork

I can see Genesis competing at the level of the Lexus LC, perhaps even a little bit above that… but at $300,000? At least Cadillac has the pedigree of once upon a time actually being the “standard of the world”. Genesis has no such pedigree. Not saying they wouldn’t sell any, but I would imagine we are taking about ver

It’s not like it was the car’s fault or even his driving.

Yeah it is etched and run through many different plating and cleaning baths, all of which are toxic. There’s no plastic that looks shiny and chrome. The only coating that comes close uses a chemical reaction with a silver nitrate solution found in “chrome” paints. Thankfully there’s no chromium in that type of paint.

Not sure needlessly is the right word. There are specific actual needs for chrome plating. I mean, old car bumpers certainly isn’t a need, but lots of industrial processes rely on chrome.

Love the way chrome looks - particularly on a classic.  But this is the right move.  Chrome plating is needlessly toxic.

Who, besides the weird nerds who unconditionally worship Elon, is going to buy one of these? Everything it had as a market advantage has already been done better by someone else. Want a normal truck that’s electric? Ford Lightning. Want a trendy, cool lifestyle one? Rivian. Want something outrageous that stands out?

Seriously?

$7.25 is not too far from $11.60. The point is the electricity price has gone up quite a bit- more than doubled in the last 10 years. So EV’s are not the slam dunk they used to be. For example a Prius with 55mpg would cost roughly the same over that 100 mile distance as your Bolt.

500$ was worth it, F anyone who complains about that glorious soundtrack!

It’s fun to pretend the Harlequin is cool, but everybody knows that car looks like total shit.

$2500 extra for a really cool and fairly unique color from the factory is actually quite cheap. People pay more for a wheel upgrade. I would definitely pay an extra $2500 for one of these colors.

Its funny when you look at why people don’t buy colors - they think the car will be able to resell when in fact colored cars have higher resale value due to their (relative) rarity (studies back both of these up, but I don’t have a reference off hand). My last buy was silver - I was afraid of scratches being very

Verde Ermes *drools*

Green in general is an underrated color, honorable mentions:

More programs like VW’s Spektrum they did for the MKVII R

The answer is always British Racing Green, with mandatory saddle brown leather interior.
