Seems like it might be a great idea to skip cars made in 2022 to 2025(26? 27?) because of this chip shortage. Pay the same price(or even more) for less. It’s bullshit.

The Grand Wagoneer somehow looks 20% bigger than a Ram 1500.

Much of the race was fairly uneventful and boring.  I was hoping Perez could have snatched third on the mediums.

Y’know, there are genuine reasons for wearing fireproof underwear and no jewelry in case of fire. With unfortunate history that reinforces why such rules are important.

Yep - exactly. The 80s were also a fairly big time for Porsche as well - with the 911 3.2, the 930, the 924 and the 944.

I feel like they’re not talking about the RWD Escorts that weren’t sold in North America, but the FWD ones that were.

It’s easy to dunk on cars from 40 years ago. Technology has moved forward enormously, and cars have changed since. As much as there were some terrible cars (or at least disappointing), there were also some interesting highlights too.

Sebastian himself doesn’t do that much. But, F1 as a whole, certainly does. In 2019 F1’s carbon footprint through direct, indirect and supply chain impact was estimated to be 256,551 tons of CO2. But the F1 cars themselves contributed only 0.7% of the sport’s emissions.

Ummmm does he know what he does for a living, and how much ‘the circus’ contributes to climate change? I mean he makes his living in an industry that ships hundreds of thousands of pounds of equipment around the world multiple times each year. Dollar for dollar he’s probably doing more to hurt the climate than almost

Most gas stations near evacuation routes are required to have a generator backup. Even for areas without a generator, there’s usually a station with a transfer switch nearby that has the option to hook up to a portable generator.

Reverse

But you’re buying a compact EV for the same price as a gas midsize SUV.

Reverse:

Reverse: the cost of new EV’s. It seems like all the halfway decent ones cost $45K minimum.

How the hell is Colorado not on this list??? Where else do you have the Million Dollar Highway? Pikes Peak, Peak-to-Peak between Blackhawk and Estes Park and all the ancillary offshoots, Trail Ridge Road, the one of the highest paved road in the US (11 miles of which are above tree line). Prefer off-road, got that

“It’s my belief that the profits were send to the US under GM ownership, some smart accounting to not pay EU taxing.”

Sorry guys....

seeing that opel/vauxhall after being sold pretty much instantly made a profit. It’s my belief that the profits were send to the US under GM ownership, some smart accounting to not pay EU taxing. Or Opel pays for developing stuff but used by other GM brands for free/cheap.

Surely there are enough tasteless wealthy people in Ee-rope to buy a Hummer EV right? Who cares if it fits in the streets?
