I’ve seen quilts made of less patchwork...

“Here’s a bunch of leftover trash we turned into shoes.”

“Entertaining” and “irritating” have very similar syllables and vowel sounds. I understand your confusion.

The Cubs are a crazy team. It's 2018, who steals bases. You're supposed to get your single/walk and wait for a home run. Stealing bases, pshaw! That's so 1970s. No wonder people have tuned out baseball, myself included. Steals, triples and great throws are the best part of the game. Bring the speed back.

As a lifelong (40 years) Cubs fan, I think Javy already is the most exciting and just bananas player I have ever seen. He is just a treat to watch day in and day out with the ridiculous shit he is capable of.

One man can’t be that smooth. He just can’t.

Now playing

Actually Vindaloo was this weird song that everyone liked at the time but has been all but forgotten because it isn’t a classic anthem. More people were singing:

He was a refugee from the South Sudan when he moved to Australia when he was a little kid.

Of special note in the brawl is Australia’s Thon Maker, who attempted a flying kick as he rushed off the bench to join the fray.

“Prepare to meet Thon Maker!”

As a young child he moved to Australia. Grew up there until he got recruited to the prep school in the US.

It was just one Filipino player brawling at first, but then the rest decided to Tagalo(n)g.

yeah, 6'10" athletes shouldn’t do jump kicks. Just ask Sid Eudy.

who was the dude who picked up a red chair and chucked it at an australian player at 0:55 or so?  Didn’t look like a player - maybe trainer or was it event staff?  Too many blue shirts.

Thon Maker put the fear of god into those two guys with that leap.

It’s no more unbelievable than any other comedy couple over the years, it’s been a well worn trope since at least Jacky Gleason in the Honeymooners.

Yeah, and I pretty much never think of this movie as an ‘Apatow’ vehicle either, it’s just such a great script with so much lost on the first viewing, only because you’re getting over the amusing/tender shock of something that just happened prior to that. I mean I’ve rarely seen a scene that is close to those

I’m sure there are people who don’t like Superbad, but that “debatable” line you mentioned sounds just like the same hipster nonsense you hear from people who are more worried about looking cool or being contrary than having their own opinion.

THANK you.
