babies! mine is 18...

It’s also almost incomprehensible how bad the things he did to her were that they had a closed court, no jury, because they considered the contents of the case (as in the abuse) too traumatising for a jury.

Personally, I wish he’d been caught, sentenced to life, and locked away in 1984, when the abuse ended.

Ten years, after she came forward in 2009. The fucker got to live a life for decades after the abuse ended in 1984 when the parents divorced.

No one should have to have that kind of strength and use such extreme coping mechanisms to survive.

He won’t be up for parole for 33 years.

I believe there were over 300, but he changed his plea to guilty after Symphony/Jeni got a few years into the detailed abuses. He pleaded guilty to 25 plus of the most heinous.

Yep. Classic abuser. Plus, he’s been like this from way  before all this started. There’s always an outside excuse for such behaviour, you see. That’s what abusers do.

You don’t see that equates emotional/psychological abuse?

This is not an incident of someone acting like an arsehole because of highly unusual and stressful circumstances.

And, that flavour profile isn’t the beginning and end of those cuisines. There are all kinds of deliciousness to be found there, and different flavour profiles, depending on regions and what borders a region may be close to.

It always does.

Another utterly disgusting story. This poor girl.

This! I need new glasses (I have to find the time to go for an eye exam and picking of the frames, which is harder than you’d expect), so I don’t wear my out of date contacts too often. But if I was going to swim, then I would sure as hell wear them. I’m so short sighted I need them if I have to do something like that.

This. Knowing the song, I thought it was a perfect fit for it all, and very much thematically in tune with the turn of events.

yep. She can grow and the show can stay dark and cynical and noirish. (Sorry, I see the show as noirish, not full noir at all.) But to hit the reset button as a way to keep her interesting is stupid, lazy writing.

I might love you. This is spot on.

I wish I’d written that. I agree. Completely.

I agree with JD Robb, aka Nora Roberts. But the relationship in that works. I could see that with Veronica and Logan in the future if they did it right.
