Isn’t Roger Ailes deserving of a Trump-style descriptor when Jez writes about him or is that simply too exhausting a prospect to consider?

She goes on to add that if women want to be taken seriously in our quest for equality, we really should stop yawping “rape” every time we regret a lighthearted sexual caper.

I’m typically a very nice person who likes to give everyone the benefit of the doubt**, but I’ve never felt such Schadenfreude as I do for Elizabeth Holmes! She is the epitome of reckless entitlement. I’m especially sad that her minions will chalk this up to the requisite “failures” that all successful, groundbreaking

HOLLER! I work for CMS.

tens of millions of Americans, who elect people like Walsh all the time.

I really want to believe that these kind of assholes have been around forever, we just didn’t get blasted in the face by thier bullshit. In the 90s we had the militia movement (rather funny how these kind of people only seem to have issues with the government when the left is in charge) which had moments of spotlight,

Looks like this asshole is going to get a visit from the Secret Service, huh?

Secret Service, please make sure it’s this guy and Not the delightful Joe Walsh who played guitar and sang with The James Gang and The Eagles.

Once again confirming that I, a person whose ancestors were brought to U.S. shores 200+ years ago—long before the immigrant ancestors of many a white person—am still not a “Real American” with the rights of full citizenship. Thanks, Joe Walsh, for reminding me.

Well, you know...as opposed to “Fake America”.

“Real America”

It is shocking to me how much bad behavior is excused at the top level of nearly all industries. Bryan Singer is an actual baby groping, pedophile, sex criminal and he still gets work and people in the industry defend him. I can’t imagine fashion is filled with much better people.

Honestly, Maison Margiela has always been a bellwether for what fashions might be hot in the next season. Having said that, I’m very disappointed that they decided to take on Galliano as their creative director. Despite his immense talent, it’s regrettable that a man with a known hate for Jews is allowed to continue

I wish I could take all the stars from the vapid and often dumb comments thrown around Deadspin and especially Gawker and hand them to you for this. Thanks for offering your insight, if for nothing else than being a teacher who truly cares about his students.

I’m currently a TA for design students, and I don’t think yours is a problem specific to athletes. I’m always noticing students who aren’t checked in to the lesson, and for my online classes I get a handful of people coming in asking if they can make up work.

What’s so hard to understand about doing the work that’s

Yep. Pretty much bang on with my experiences. I’m thankful that I’ve never felt pressure from the coaching staff. If anything, they’re always very deferential when I have to talk to them about a student-athlete’s progress. Part of me knows that that’s because they’ve usually got a handful of ways to keep their kids

This absolutely mirrors my experience with revenue sport athletes at a I-AA school. Occasionally their handlers get involved, though I’ve never had anyone put any kind of pressure on me to provide special treatment — it just turns into an extra meeting with the handler there to repeat what I say and give the student

I feel like I’m in a sort of unique position—I’m a former NCAA DI coach who now teaches at a large state school. Man, I love having athletes in my classes, so it always makes me sad/frustrated when athletes express this idea that they think all faculty are against them. Many faculty truly enjoy university athletics

Yes! Newt & Hicks LIVE! Fuck you, Fincher!

You can pry my dry shampoo from my cold dead lazy shower hating hands.

Also Oswald killed Kennedy, Shakespeare wrote Shakespeare, 9/11 was not an inside job, the UFO at Roswell was just a spy satellite, and the Queen of England is not a lizard person. Just thought I should get that off the table before the crazy people show up.
