I knew nothing of this bonker beast until I think GT2. Won it in some race and fired it up and was like wow got a little kick. Maybe the new F1 regs should be everyone put a minivan/people mover body on their chassis an have at it.

it is fun has a 3800 gm motor swapped in and it is a true front mid engine set up.  I have driven it to work a couple times and it is a blast. 

Lockers will cause weird behavior on pavement our CJ5 has a mechanical locker in the rear and with such a short wheel base it will push you wide on a turn on the street.

all good advice but don’t forget the steel toed shoes I can’t count the number of times that having them on in the shop or out in the field has saved me some pain

It is a blast to drive but with just drums in the back and nothing up front for brakes you have to stay ahead of it for sure.  It really rides nicer than you would think and it also has some ghost flames on the sides where the doors would be if it had doors.

Dude I have access to one you can go as fast as you dare. It is just NA so not near the power and actually has a floor board but is still plenty sketch.

That is a hard no.  I think how this works is they get old enough that people can get a little nostalgic for them but it is still to soon for the Caliber.

Well David I am feeling much better about this Moab build. But I am a little sad to hear you might not do it again. Maybe rather than a build, finagle a loaner Wrangler from FCA and compare and contrast with your rusty jeep trips.

Torch come to Slamboree and I can offer you a little better driver experience in something similar.

At least in the States I think for automotive engines big starts at over 350 cubic inches for obvious reasons.

David if you just gotta do a DJ call an audible for this year and go another route I have a DJ that the wife picked up in a deal that is way better shape than that thing you have. Our DJ already has a 5.0 and some kind of Ford automatic trans.  On a side note the jeep deal was pretty weird she drug home two complete…

That is a really crappy picture but it makes me think of a second gen s-10/s-15 from the shape of the taillights or even a mid sixties El Camino from the overall shape.

Well DT don’t feel too bad if boats count I am way over 9 vehicles with several projects and even two Jeeps with one DJ that already has a 302 and a C4 in it.

I got some sockets specifically some of those rainbow colored ones from Harbor Freight.
