Probably about every German curse word and then maybe a mein godt.

Yep the Sabre what war planes are supposed to look like.

Nope that is the reason there is a chicane back there now.

It is amazing how fast Aeronautic technology advanced in the early days. Back in WWI it wasn’t uncommon for the newest gizmo or new engine in an old plane to tilt the playing field one way another for a couple weeks until the other side could catch back up.

I have already seen several P-38’s, at least one F4U, and a P-51. So here is my favorite.

Oh please a NASA one I have a tone of Patches on a flight jacket from my days back in spacecamp.

I didn’t get to see him race much but in the booth he was great. He always told a good story and he knew what was going on in the garage. I have missed him on Sirius lately but according to Humpy Wheeler he visited him Friday and he was still Buddy so at least he was still himself almost all the way to the end.

In number 8 the Royal Marines cheated they changed the engine and the transaxle at the same time. Swapping the tranny over would add a considerable about of time but that is still very impressive.

That is better than the speed check one from a while back. A precision maneuver that was breathtaking. I am going to use that the next time I make a bad choice and get bailed out by a little skill and a lot of pure luck.

Yes I loved that show as well but they obviously were seeding those yards but some of the backyard welding skills were nice to see.

How about The Road Kill show on youtube not quite sure what they have for a budget but they always end up with something just this side of safe/reliable/appropriate and I love the off road in the lowrider with hydraulics was particularly interesting.

Maybe 3/4 of a mile on a good day.

Now playing

455 Rocket for sure my family had a 1974 Olds 98 with the 455 never will forget blasting east bound down I 40 and a kid in a second gen camaro tried to get around us. Now this probably wasn’t smart on dad’s part but let me tell you that camaro saw nothing but tail lights until the next gas station.

Yes the Angels in the scooter that was a great little plane.

That’s the guy I want under center for my team he had seen the elephant and anything after that was easy money.

Wow that is pretty fast.

Damn now I need to get off my butt and start a Lemons team if those guys could pull that off in 1972 I could surely throw together a 500 dollar beater to race with a couple weekends a year.

Really how about a a ford ute from the 30’s pretty sure you couldn’t get that one in the states.

I was thinking the same thing the Aussies invented the ute.

Yep not real fast but at leas they don’t stop worth a crap either.
