I’ll grant you Rocky. That was a scary, badass man—my Grandpa’s favorite of all time. I understand your point, I’m just saying that people lose sometimes. It doesn’t mean they aren’t great. Ali is considered one of the greatest boxers, and he wasn’t undefeated.

As a fan, I’m actually glad she lost. She needs to remember she can strike, sure, but she’s a Judoka. What madness possessed her to try to box a woman who is considered maybe the best ever?

Yeah really.

I saw it, I’ve seen them all. My husband is a huge fan of UFC and there’s always a party.

I don’t either. My husband does, and he was saying from the beginning she didn’t look like herself.

She certainly did the past few days, I won’t argue with you there.

I hope she does. This doesn’t prove she isn’t the best. It just proves she lost one. All the best occasionally lose. If she’s truly the champ she believes herself to be, this just means she’ll come back better than ever.

I don’t really think she threw it either, but I don’t think she was herself. Like you said, something else in the background...maybe the pressure was just getting to her.

Same. This is an opportunity to show she’s the champion everyone said she was. Real champs get back up and come back stronger than ever.

One question:

It may seem crazy, but mulled mead. Very warming. No wonder the Norse loved that shit so much.

A friend of mine and I used to do a big meal for all the military guys on post who were too far from family to get home. Her husband and my bf (now husband) were deployed together, but still tons of guys we knew didn’t have any other place but their DFAC. Family doesn’t always mean related.

She’s a peace type person and just got assaulted, she’s in shock about it. Living in a bubble where violence never happens around you tends to leave you unprepared for the real world. See Alexandria on TWD.

Raised Baptist, Pagan in adulthood, I went to my first Catholic wedding a couple of years ago, and they had a full mass. So I’m there with my pentacle and getting some of the funniest looks and totally lost about what I’m supposed to do. BUT, people were surprisingly polite, and I was treated pretty comfortably.

I’d have to go with Superman. How epic would it be to flip somebody off in traffic while that theme was soaring?

I kind of loathe Katy Perry but that lip color is pretty badass.

Oh no, you didn’t come off as dismissive at all. On the contrary, you seem sensitive to someone with a different experience and view point (something that happens rarely on Jezebel.)

Ok, keep in mind I certaintly don’t speak for every lesbian or bi girl out there, but yeah, it hurts. Sometimes you can’t help yourself. She’s cool, she’s funny, she gets you. You’re laughing together, drinking, getting high, whatevs and suddenly you’re kissing (or more.) Your heart is doing flip flops, but she’s just

I mean being the same-sex experiment for a straight friend who later denounces and denies if something comes out as public. I don’t necessarily blame them, but it’s happened to many of us. This is completely irrespective of the dildo thing (which, seriously, is ridiculous to me.)

If you really think someone coming out of the military has the world as their oyster, I really don’t think any answer I’m going to give is going to change your mind, so I’ll bow out now.
