I own a P100, which was replaced by the P500 and now the P510. Man, was I ever disappointed.

Unfortunately, Facebook chose to build the Prineville, Oregon data center, a location where the power company gets most of its electric power from coal fired generators. Contrast that to Google's data center in The Dalles, Oregon, which is located a stone's throw from the Columbia River gorge where hydro power from…
Oh great — chlorine gas and aqueous ammonia — two things you DON'T want to inhale!
A few years after that, I repeated the experiment with "muriatic acid" and household ammonia. Muriatic acid, which is commonly available at your favorite big box home improvment center, is the old term used to describe what we nopw call hydrochloric acid.
I have no idea if that's chlorine gas; my high school chem was 38 years ago and college chem was 36 year ago. Perhaps a Chemical Engineer or recent student will chime-in.
Years ago in chemistry class, we created smoke like this when the fumes of hydrocholoric acid and ammonia mixed. I hope those are not the chemicals used here as someone could get hurt badly.
You sound like someone who has never been on a trans-oceanic nor redeye flight. You need some seatback incline to sleep, which is the best way to kill time on a 20-hour flight.
More telling is that nine of the top 10 Senators who received the most money from media companies are positioned to vote for PIPA:
I completely forgotten about Arcadia, thinking that Olympia and Athena were the only two high schools in Greece.
From the title, I expected a passenger on the motorcycle to climb onto the aircraft.
All the more reason to Apple to add an SD Card slot on the iPad 3. That won't happen though as they prefer to charge you 3-4 times the cost of flash memory on an SD card to solder it down on the main board.
I'm not in Rochester anymore. At about 17.5 years, I was offered and accepted a promotion to move to a small EK facility in Denver. It was shut down 1.5 years later, leaving me "stranded". About 6 months later, I got a job in Oregon and relocated a second time in two years. I'm now with my 4th company in 10 years,…
I am in mourning for my former employer of 19 years, three days.
Not all "booth babes" are created equal.
Kodak invented the digital camera in 1975.
I used to work for Intel, working trade shows which included many years at CES and executive keynotes. Keynote demos always have backup plans in place in case something goes wrong. Passing off a video as a live demo is something I never, ever saw backstage.
Sorry, I grew-up in Vermont, went to SU for one year, and eventually spent 18 of my 19 years with Kodak in Rochester. I'm in Oregon now, which has included 6+ years with Intel.
Another factiod I just remembered from teh NASA engineer's talk was that the original shuttle had five computers which communicated with each other and compared answers to solutions to ensure if one glitched, it would not jeopardize the mission. I remember him saying that each computer had LESS power than a TRS-80,…
Yep, 100,000 feet is just 30.48km. It's generally accepted that "space" starts at 100km.
In 1976, I was a freshman aerospace engineering student at Syracuse University. We had a guest speaker, a NASA engineer, speak to us one day. He talked about the "space truck" they had been working on for a short while. The touted benefits included the reusability which would drive reduced cost/launch and a quick…
