Forget the unwritten rule and learning how to travel. The base assumption behind this - that you don’t need to play baseball to get better at playing baseball - is pretty goddamn specious. I’m willing to bet it’s easier to learn to hit a few mediocre curveballs first.

Didn’t you mean to post this on Splinter?

Better than that time they had the two girls on the one cup.

You keep making the same argument and you keep being completely, fundamentally wrong. “Get rid of the cap and let teams spend as much as they want on free agents,” and you think somehow this is going to benefit teams like Oklahoma City? Who are now bidding against major market teams like the Knicks and the Lakers?

The question I have - who has to wash the jaws of life afterward?

Slow?  Please not.

The Lakers also have essentially no trade assets left, so they’ll sign one more player and then that’s going to be it.  This looks so much like the Nets trading for KG and Pierce - they’ve got a one- or two-year window, and then when age finally catches up with them there’s no real way to offset that.  No young talent

Nonsense! The three-year old, 30k-35k mile used Frontiers were only about $3k cheaper than the equivalent brand-new trucks when I bought mine (which is why I bought new). Besides, depreciation is irrelevant when you’re driving it into the ground.

It was a bush-league play.  Double-A ball, to be specific.

Rebuilding around Zion, Jason Tatum, and the C’s other three draft picks won’t totally suck.

David Tracy still looking for a less-shitty winter car?

Just to be clear, you are *literally* arguing that money is more important than health.

100% the correct answer, but a regular Element would be terrific, too.

Honda Element. Take out one or both the back seats (if you’re only hauling one friend) and there is a HUGE amount of space, plenty to sleep in if you want to.  All wheel drive - I never went offroading with mine, but no issues with snow so I imagine a little mud and loose gravel will be fine.  Sunroof at least on the

Got nothing to do with “opportunity cost” or playing efficient basketball.  25% shooting percentages is pretty fucking far from “The NBA is Fan-Tastic!”

I thought it was lemon-law expert Steve Lehto, fresh off his gig playing Minnesota hockey.

I mean, it’s less odd than Wu-Tang doing an (uncensored) NPR Tiny Desk Concert.

This is one of those rare vehicles that exists in that perfect duality, where it is both a “nice price” and “crack-pipe,” all day every day.

The best part about German is, if they don’t have a word for something you can just write out a sentence and remove all the spaces and punctuation.

A couple grand more and you can get a reasonably-equipped (basic, but functional) crew-cab Frontier, if you need (like I do) the ability to haul little ones around. If you don’t, a couple grand less.  There are still some pretty cheap, reasonably-sized trucks out there, but they aren’t the ones folks clamor for.
