Quantum Leap did it a few times, perhaps most effectively when Sam jumped into some rando and told Al’s wife that he was still alive and in Vietnam and would be coming home.

What you said about Chadwick also applies to Carrie Fisher, Paul Walker, the original Coach from Cheers and a few others.

Ditto. There are only three reasons not to recast:

1) The actor is just so linked to the role that it would be impossible to make the leap to a new actor. (Mark Hamill refusing to return, for instance.)

2) There is a chance the actor may come back and you’d rather wait (Chris Evans, ScarJo, RDJ)

3) The actor has died

She better leave Jack Wagner alone

John Stamos and Bob Saget are on line 3.

I honestly don’t think either Quicksilver would move the needle that much, not as much as Olson is predicting. We also know that Bettany was excited to work with this actor - and implied he never had.

That would rule out McKellen. (DaVinci Code)

So, if it’s an established character from another timeline, my choices

He appears to have been a Bush supporter, but has also spoken pretty harshly about rockers getting over their skis and getting into politics.

He’s also a born-again Christian and credits his kicking his addiction to his faith. And golf. Literally, he thanks golf for replacing one addiction with another.

I like Cooper’s

I’m not saying Cooper doesn’t have some bad stories from the 70s wafting around him, but every interview I’ve ever seen with him is that he’s just like every other old dude in Arizona - plays golf and eats early.

Personas are weird things.

O.J. Simpson was once considered too nice to play the Terminator. Christopher

That’s fine. We need her and Randall Park to do an X-Files type series on weird stuff in the MCU.

Legit did not know he was still with us. RIP.

No. But i still think you wouldn’t accuse him of being a CIA stooge

Come down from the cross, the both of you. The wood can be put to better use.

Tell me, what do you do with the time you save by not hitting the enter key?

Look, I’m sorry Thanos snapped your paragraph breaks and not mine. Clearly, that makes you more pessimistic.

It was when Clancy wrote it. It was when Baldwin, Ford, Affleck and Pine all played Jack Ryan.

Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Robert Redford, and Jeff Bridges have all played soldiers.

Well, someone had to be the Boromir to make the story move.

Ugh! That’s like... work, dude.

I honestly think some people haven’t forgiven Pratt for Star-Lord messing up the fight against Thanos.

Yeah, sometimes little acting is required.
