This was the first thing that came to my mind as well.

It’s so weird to see sealed beam lamps rendered into a sketch of a concept car that look current enough stylistically that it’s begging for LEDs or projectors.
Yeah this whole article felt pretty contrived. Especially the conclusion. Jalopnik has been on this EDGINESS for EDGINESS’ sake kick for the last 5 years. I’ve been reading this site for the last decade and the quality and tone have shifted substantially in that time. And definitely not for the better.
I put 20k miles on whatever is my daily a year. It comes from commuting on weekends to other cities, i.e. I regularly drive from Lima, OH to Cincinnati to visit my parents and from Lima to Akron to visit my fiancee’s family. Those miles rack up fast. Even then my normal work commute is 40 miles a day round trip, which…
I’m ready for that. Such a ridiculous swap.
So is my Industrial Design Degree. It just means I had to do the elective courses during school such as basic math and literature. On the other hand, the Fine Arts majors were NOT B.S. degrees, same with other solely design-centric schools. Because I went to a state school, it was mandated that the Design and…
I’m dying to know where this one came from.
I’ve never understood why they did the windshield like that.
Just because it’s Roush doesn’t mean it’s a Ford engine. Roush has it’s hands in just about everything and would have no issue developing their own engine for Elio from the ground up to hit their target numbers. They even have one of two of the largest Metal SLS printers on the market capable of printing 4 cylinder…
I agree. There’s a lot of tension in the belt-line where the haunches meet it. A lot of pinching going on there on the top of the fenders. And the fenders seem to peak too high.
This happens a lot. I work for a forklift company and frequently the shop trucks are discharged to the point where you have to ‘spoof’ the battery charger into thinking the battery has enough left in it to take a charge. So really, no surprise at all that this happened.
Can we stop talking about the anomaly that is the $20K Em1? So someone paid a huge chunk of change for a low-mileage, beautiful, clean EM1. You don’t have to pick one up with that few miles. I got mine with 118K and it was fantastic. Lightly modded, and now with a rebuilt motor after it burned a valve at 192K. $5k…
While i absolutely do love the Electron Blue Pearl, it was actually the more common color by volume. So when I went to buy one in 2014, all of the EBP cars were beat to shit. So I ended up with a pretty nice Flamenco black pearl car. So as pretty as EBP is, the red may have added a touch of rarity. Not 20k rare but…
I really like their naming conventions. Ties it in nicely to their CNC naming conventions. Obviously that was the idea but i dig it.
If I’m not mistaken, it’s a Lamborghini in name only. It’s really a re-skinned Deutz Fahr.
Those taillights were factory, if I recall correctly.
Yeah, full agreement here.
