Those “bluish strokes” appear to be the core shadows of the sculpting of the sides, not paint. It looks like it’s painted in a matte silver-ish color, so that’s probably why they appear blue.

Hey! I will be in Nashville on the 12th of October. If I was interested in seeing the basement, is there anyone in particular to ask or something to possibly mention? I’m not sure how to PM on here, but I would love to see the more obscure stuff. If something more formal would need set up, I’m not opposed.
My favorite song by them. But the whole album is great.
Fuckin’ A.
CHEVELLE
Wouldn’t using the same color eliminate any bias the lighting and color would have on the cars form? Seems to me that two dramatically different colors wouldn’t allow you to focus on the details. Just my take.
The tooling alone could run $1 million, whether that’s one prototype iteration or 5. So they’d be best to put the time in and get it pretty well perfect on the first try, otherwise they won’t be making anything back. You can only make so many one-offs before you have to bite the bullet and choose one because you’re…
Driving a lowered 2000 Civic Si with a loud exhaust for a daily garners all kinds of ill attention. It’s not a fast car, it’s just a fun daily that is nice in the bends and gets good mileage. It’s no race car. But I will be damned if I go a week without some asshat pulling up beside me on the interstate to try and…
Yepp, in Marysville, actually. They have several other plants all in that same general locale, including a pretty big one in Troy, OH but I don’t know what they do there. A lot of small shops in the area do a lot of farm out work for them as well, like seats, pistons, heads, and other things.
They were originally built for agriculture and multipurpose use. So I think most came with both power take off hookups and hydraulic remotes for implements, as well probably a 3pt. hitch. So lots of stuff to control. It’s no different than your average tractor, just all clustered in one place.
THIS. Fuck backing hay wagons.
I don’t personally have the money that’s being discussed but I don’t see how people are blind to the methodology here. It makes perfect sense. The key, I think, was the refundable deposits. Don’t have the money for multiple deposits? Don’t make multiple deposits and take your chances like everyone else with only one.…
Didn’t those Corrados have supercharger issues? Like necessitating a rebuild under 100k miles? It may cost you less up front but the maintenance might not be worth it.
What area are you from? Around here (Midwest Ohio) the place is lousy with B-series motors of every variety. You could probably also rebuild an Integra from craigslist from the ground up. I’m just surprised to hear there’s no parts availability. But if we’re talking OEM then I suppose that’s not that weird. Had a…
Of note is that the car in that picture is the original Corvette that the Fast and Furious car is based on. That one in particular was built specifically for autocross. The Fast and Furious car is a CLONE. The fenders were molded off the original. The video explains some of that but they don’t go into a lot of detail.
Matt Groening’s humor is apparent in every form. I watched the Simpsons until I found Futurama and that just became the superior show in every way for me.
Futurama? That sounds like a Fry quote....
It’s not just new tech. A smaller headlight will visually make the car appear bigger, and this being a flagship, that would be a good thing. Also, they may not be as small as they appear since the Eascala is pretty big.
This got a solid chuckle out of me.
That’s not a solution to the problem, that’s a workaround to the problem. There’s a big difference.
