That’s an interesting way to transport the blades. If seen a few semi’s transporting blades in Nebraska, and they just had the thing laid flat on a very, very long bed. The tip of the blade still hung off the end of the trailer.

Someone at my place of work DDs one of these. He usually gets in pretty early to avoid dirty stares for taking up multiple parking spots.

The people I know that have gone on trips like this were generally part of powertrain calibration. Most of them were just asked whether or not they’d like to go on a 2 week trip. Some are told. Others demand.

They are definitely an add-on for Chevy’s. I bet that dealer doesn’t bother putting them on unless the customer asks for them.

Sounds like they should have invested in wheel locks to slow them down. I mean it only took 4 hours of no one noticing a damn thing.

A majority of car buyers could give two less fucks about how fast it goes. As long as it gets on the highway and the AC work then they’ll buy it.

A majority of my recently graduated college friends have found themselves in WRX’s and Focus ST’s even though they were ogling Mustangs and Camaros just a year prior. Just knowing that you can fit more than 2 adults or a large TV in the car is comforting. I really want a Camaro myself, but atm can’t really justify it.

Several of my millennial friends (as well as myself) are way more into the hot hatches and tuners. Its nice to be able to go fast but still have a practical vehicle.

I was definitely one of those young people who was iffy about moving to Detroit for the job, but I took the leap. Glad I did too, because Detroit isn’t as bad as its appears.
