I’m old enough to have seen revered drivers, people like Senna and Schumacher, perform acts that would get you banned from the sport now. I agree this was whiny and petty, but it’s hardly unheard of from “championship caliber” drivers.

It appears that since the budget cap has been introduced, owning and running an F1 team can be profitable. You get to rake in enormous pools of sponsorship money, merchandise sales and competition bonuses when you score some points, but you’re not allowed to spend it all. This is why more and more teams want to join,

They could do it, but it would require platform screen doors at every station, which in turn requires computer-based train control. Since CBTC that threatens MTA drivers’ job security, it will never happen.

That might be the weirdest YT video I have ever watched...

Watching how well the Honda Fit, Smart fortwo, and Scion iQ hold their values in cities tells me there is still a market for small, slow, practical vehicles in the US. I think the real question is: would people want this as their only car?

Would this had been legal had they got filming permits and the other correct permits required to film a stunt scene?

A USAF member overextended on credit to purchase a vehicle they can’t really afford? De rigueur, man, de rigueur.

But who didn’t have the Eddie Bauer Explorer back then? Even my mom and aunt did.

Just say no to wallets in back pockets in general!

Sounds like a pretty standard reach for a generation of click obsessed journalists. Journalistic integrity died ages ago, you’re just a byproduct - no hard feelings.

Edit - oh wait, you’re the same “Journalist” who pushed the whole carry on vs check your bag debate, good lord... find another career path

Misleading, clickbait headline. Have some pride in yourself and your work.

If it helps, the guy saying that is just the the Real Estate dipshit opening his wallet for the thing. The people who are doing the ACTUAL work are some of the best DSV engineers and builders out there, not only having built the subs for the last big titanic exploration(the footage of which came out in 2020), but are

Somebody has to machine all those stainless steel parts, and that would be ME!  Those guys pay their machinists pretty well.  So they do create jobs, at least one or two.

Triton has a good track record and they, unlike some others, actually believe in following international standards and organizational guidance from experts. I think they could do this. My problem is that this is a HUGE liability in terms of failure points. Who knows how the internal structure of such a huge piece of

The Oceans Twelve marketing team is still raking in the attention; you’ve got to give them credit.

“...where would ridiculously rich F1 fans rank on that list?”

Meh, considering how jaw-droppingly expensive everything was for that Las Vegas Grand Prix, $10K is looking like a bargain for tootling around the Mediterranean doing F1 stuff. I wouldn’t pop for it, but puh-lenty of other folks will.

Town I’m in is what you’d consider a beach or boating oriented community but we have laws that prohibit boat storage in you driveway/yard too. Is it heavily enforced? No, but everyone knows that technically its not allowed. Only ever irritates me is when the boats is enormous (not just your typical 15-25 foot boat)

So it just has to be behind a 6' fence; do they mention what the fence has to be made out of?
