Yep. For me it was ballet class. I developed early and it was made abundantly clear that I didn’t have the right body to continue. I was never going to be professional or competitive but it turned me off participating in an activity that could have been fun and good exercise.

My recommendations as a professional book-seller:

I’ve nearly finished book one. It’s seems to have only a passing resemblance to the film version. Most annoying is the film making the biologist’s motivation all about her husband.

“I just think he’s very in touch with that side of himself. He understands the female characters he creates exceptionally well. His female characters are always so rich and large and honest in terms of how they’re feeling and he just knows how to write dialogue for them to communicate all that.”
