I did read it closely. I just think the way it is written is confusing. I think the point that is missing from the article is that the length of the password matters a lot. Multi-word pass phrases have this advantage and when you try things like the Jackson 5 strategy in order to be more secure, you would likely

I think this article is misleading. As far as I understand, you are STILL better off picking 4 random words than a bunch of numbers and letters strung together. This is because choosing 4 random words will probably be more easily remembered than a string AND it will likely be longer than any string you can remember

While the battery life of non-OEM batteries is usually not as high I have never had a problem with third party batteries even from Amazon or Ebay. I don't think it is worth paying 8 times as much for a name brand batteries when I can have a couple of extras in my pocket for 5 or 10 bucks.

Never had a delay. Been using GV for years.

Spotify has some gaping holes in what albums they have and that has been annoying... I also don't care for Facebook integration. I think I may go try Rdio now.

I guess if you track hundreds of packages you need an app but for a couple of packages here and there I find that TrackThis suffices. You can get updates over email and Twitter... It keeps me up to date on where my packages are and is platform agnostic since it doesn't need an app.

Is there any advantage to using these services over registering a domain and pointing it to an html file in a public dropbox folder?

They are pretty extensive... See link above. You can say things like "send email to [contact] [message]" and it will send an email to that contact. Or "directions to [location/business name]". It's not developed to the point that Siri is to be completely handsfree but it is pretty good.

Long Beach is only good if you don't have to drive the 405 to get to your destination. If you do, consider avoiding Long Beach.

As someone previously commented, you can... Start (in the Android app) by enabling it in Labs then clicking a location on the map. When the location details comes up there is an option to download that area. If you select it, it looks like it downloads the 10 miles surrounding the spot you selected.

Niiiiiice! Thanks for the tip. This feature can be found (at least on the Android app) by enabling it in Labs then clicking a location on the map. When the location details comes up there is an option to download that area. If you select it, it looks like it downloads the 10 miles surrounding the spot you selected.

The article neglects to mention that all of this is only relevant if you are discussing receiving payments and using it for business use. However, if you are just using it to send money then it makes no difference to the sender what fees are being charged to the person receiving the money. And even if you are the

Guess that depends on how many connections you have and how active they are. My Google+ has quite a bit of activity. Not as much as Facebook but enough to keep me engaged.

Yes but will it allow you to borrow library books like Nook does (and Kindle plans on adding)?

How is this different than backup services like Mozy, Carbonite or Backblaze? For the people who keep saying that they will not put anything in the cloud without first encrypting it, do you use an online backup service?

This is diabolically delicious.

But now that you have shared it with teh internets...

The article was not written clearly, IMO. I had the same impression as firefiber after reading the article. It should explicitly say that you are backing up the data locally if that is the case.

Since when is $30 a lot of money? Why is this a last resort? Who doesn't like rhetorical questions?
