Sounds like you don’t have much experience with EVs...

Yeah, or wipe the tire down with WD-40, which also has petrochemicals and will keep it from drying out.

Except... Nuclear isn’t a technology problem, it’s a construction problem. They take 20+ years and billions of dollars before they even start operation, and they may never pay for themselves.

I am a huge fan of Frank Stephenson, but I think he misses the point here. The cybertruck is supposed to be a hostile design. It’s supposed to stick out from the surrounding environment, not mimic it. I think Frank’s ideal truck design would be something like the late 90's F-150.

As an OEM interior designer who hates 90's blob interiors.... I do have a soft spot for some of those Fords with slush molded instrument panels and fuzzy cloth upholstery. Great place to be in the winter storm.

That’s why Tesla officially called that part the “nose cone”, a nod to rockets, even if it was meant to emulate a grille for early adopters.

As more carmakers leave the car market.... the remaining cars on the market will enjoy larger slices of a smaller pie.

While I 100% see the value in winter tires, I make the drive from SF to Tahoe about 3x a month for ski season. Snow driving is predictable, and often people are well behaved. Drive reasonable on all-seasons with plenty of tread and it’s fine.

It’s so cringe when Jalopnik is like “But this new car costs $100,000 how can a company ethically sell this when there are people out there struggling??”

My University’s engineering department had a functional hydrogen bus in operation since 1985. What’s taking Nikola until 2022?

WTF are you talking about? Infrastructure? Electrical service is literally in every structure. Need a charger installed in your cabin? It will cost you between $5,000 and $2,000. Cheap AF

Sarcasm yes, but also the guy that designed the power electronics (a MOSFET like device like a stereo amplifier) that powered the EV-1, went on to found AC Propulsion, which became a point of inspiration for Tesla.

4th Gear: Per bloomberg, Automotive news.

Plus, like, didn’t they spend the last 10 years making models that were indistinguishable in appearance from the previous version? The F30 and the G20 look very very similar. Interiors look similar. Now change is good?

This car is always going the reicht speed. Even if his passengers think he was Göring way too fast.

HOLY SHIT...

Conventional wisdom is to max out your 401k so you can retire comfortably at 65. But if you can make a couple million dollars in your late 20's, then you’re in an even better position to be financially sustainable.

This was the conventional wisdom in 2008.

Eh, I lived in a building without a garage in San Francisco and had no issues charing.
