Actually I will say this from experience. Under a few circumstances water can bead up like that on vertical panels. For instance (and I know this isn't the case in the game but I'm just making a point) but if you wax a car improperly water will bead up on the residue.

You have ones like mine that give the truck enough clearance to go off road but then you have the pretty boy trucks that are lifted so high and have so little tread that if you hit mud or dirt at any sort of speed it looks like it would flip or…
