That isn't what his complaint is. He is upset that Siri doesn't include offline capability. Voice Control didn't disappear with 5.0. It is still there, but you have to disable Siri. If he wanted to, he could still press one button and call his wife without an internet connection, but it wouldn't be through Siri.

I don't know if you were referring to the U-Socket, but if you were, I didn't find it particularly challenging to install. It looks a little overwhelming coming out of the box, but it isn't that bad. If you want to avoid getting shocked, kill the circuit or wear thick gloves.

Well it depends. This is obviously more expensive than the LG panel. The question is whether it is worth it.

The patent was filed in 1996.

Where are you getting that the base (GSM) model is 32GB? I may have missed an announcement, but I was under the impression that the Galaxy Nexus was a base 16GB.

My connection dropped from almost 6 Mb/s to the equivalent of very slow Edge. Netflix, Pandora and Amazon couldn't establish a connection at those

They slow your connection to the point where streaming services don't work.

They've been doing it since October. I was hit with it then. I was about 12 GB's for the cycle when they did it.

Apple compromised parts of iOS for AT&T's sake. They capped downloads and disabled tethering. Those were basic features of the operating system. They were less willing to mess with the hardware design.

Exactly. Needing to root the phone to get standard features is ridiculous.

I've gotta go with the Sting Ray.

I thought these were closer to $700 and the 8-inchers were $900.

If the phone is locked, then it isn't a true Google experience phone. If it is unlocked, then the bands listed clearly show AT&T support. Whether AT&T will subsidize the phones is another matter.

It's not mine.

Ser Loras has been spending a lot of time in the Bachmann tent recently. He probably keeps coming back for the air conditioning and chairs.
