I often wondered that myself, but I feel like he stays in games, because he wishes to tell stories in which his audience gets to control the characters. That’s why he keeps talking about “new and interactive experiences”. Movies and shows are too restrictive to the stories he intends on telling.

Also, I don't want Kojima to make something not-bonkers. He's special specifically because of the bonkers-ness. May he never stop the bonkers.

Kojima is weird af! I’ll give him props though for taking chances. He comes up with the weirdest shit! Like a device that’s a pair of hands around your neck that assist you or the Guitar Gun/Sword. Where does he come up with this stuff? It’s fascinating science fiction.
