Time gated demos have been around for a quarter of a century at least. Heck back in the 90's the vast majority of Demos were time gated. Usually somewhere between 2:30 to 10:00 minutes depending on the game. I can understand the frustration but you are complaining about something that has been around quite some time.

I have returned to Elder Scrolls:Oblivion and Skyrim save files after several year hiatus’ with no trouble. But that’s mostly because I’ve played them to death and archived my mods so the save files still work. The learning curve to returning to the game is non-existent.

I also like the Terraria like boss-gated world spawns. If i want a more peaceful world i can just bring my character with better equipment from one world into another.

That’s what i like about it. If I’m just going to lay about building and chopping down trees gathering basic resources dying because i haven’t eaten really upsets the pacing and overall fun. Eating a resting are critical to success in advancing in the game but they aren’t mandatory to just play. 

Given how the Dragon’s Dogma netflix series went i’m not going to hold my breath on a good show.

About midway through Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner it’s basically a series of boss fights and massive battles one after the other and each boss fight is better than the last. But the final battles against Anubis are satisfying when you can finally counter his vector trap moves with your own.
