I think the message of this movie and the next will be that canon is not important. Miguel don’t even know why what happened to his family happened the way it did. Like the filmmakers themselves said, this is a movie directed at people who say Miles is “not my Spider-man”.

This site lumps ghosts and wizard movies as scifi

Pretty much everyone calls Moonraker a scifi movie. It was in fact made as a reaction to Star Wars and Star Trek.

This movie comes out just in time to exploit nostalgia for the early Bay movies.

ILM is not doing this movie unlike in the previous six. They’re doing the animated movie.

Transformers has been that way since 1984, just like every other franchise that started around then.

The joke got forgotten once the movie where Darth Vader is a kid became one of the foundational fiction of an entire generation.

Transformers The Movie was full of celebrity voices.

They are living things with organs and genetic matter (cybernucleic acid or CNA). They have always been shown to age.

Thinking the live action designs are “garbage” just makes the fandom roll their eyes now.

If film school bros have that much influence, Zack Snyder would be directing his 5th DCEU movie and Darren Arronofsky’s mother! would be have won all the Oscars it would have been nominated for.

Campbell actually told one guy who vocally didn’t like the movie at SXSW to “get the fuck out”, and pretty much the whole audience cheered Campbell. Face it, it’s not directed by Raimi or star Campbell (who is retired as far as I know), but it’s their baby and their fans have embraced it just as much.

Man, people born from the 90s onward is probably bewildered that Seagal was once considered a legit action star. It’s sad that he apparently gave up sometime in the last 20 years. Then again he also has an unpleasant reputation and a huge ego so it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
