No. It can’t. Becuase Tesla doesn’t want others in. But it can use the EA network as it grows.

It will have active cooling, just not a heater for handling sub-freezing cold. Just means range and charge time takes more of a hit in super cold temps.

Just don’t hold your breath. Might  take a few years.

Seems like a PHEV Sante Fe with 40miles electric range would be a hit. The Kona is pretty small.

Chevy Volt counts as an EV in those numbers.

They shouldn’t do a separate clas for EVs, that should pit EVs against similar horsepower gas rally cars. See who wins.

Looks like a Tesla Model 3, minus one wheel.

Better aerodynamics, lighter, and less rolling resistance. Fewer regulations to comply with, means cheaper to produce (crash test programs are very expensive), but not necessarily less safe.

Just means it doesn’t have to go through government mandated tests programs which are very expensive. But doesn’t mean it can’t be built to be safe.

400,000 Tesla model 3 preorders disagree.

Taxpayers are also subsidizing the hugely profitable oils and gas companies and farmers to produce ethanol. The EV subsidies are not really costing taxpayers anything. It gives a buyers a tax rebate. Why is that a bad thing?

You are also ignoring the massive innefficiencies and energy required to pump oil out of the ground, transport it, refine oil for gasoline, transport the gasoline, and pump it into a car. Electric cars can be powered directly from any electricity source: hydro, solar, wind, tidal, nuclear. Much easier to clean up

Love my 2007 Pontiac Vibe. Just tipped the odometer past 100K. The Chevy Bolt looks to have similar dimensions and cargo space. Seriously considering it.
